2016 Surface Preparation and Cleaning Conference to be held April 19-20, 2016
BOSTON, Massachusetts, November 2, 2015 — The 2016 Surface Preparation and Cleaning Conference (SPCC) will be held at the Biltmore Hotel in Santa Clara, California April 19-20, 2016.
The SPCC is the world’s largest conference dedicated to cleaning and preparation technologies for the semiconductor industry. Managed by Sematech from 2002-2014, the upcoming 2016 conference will be managed by Linx Consulting, the leading electronic materials consulting firm for the semiconductor and electronics industries.
“As electronic material consultants to the semiconductor industry, this show is an important one for the industry,” said Mark Thirsk, Managing Partner, Linx Consulting. “Linx is involved in many different semiconductor conferences and this seems like a natural progression for us.”
Although Linx will be organizing and managing the conference, the technical committee will remain essentially unchanged with Joel Barnett of Tokyo Electron as committee chair. “We’re very happy that Linx has stepped up to the plate to manage this important show. Surface cleaning and preparation are key processes in wafer manufacturing and the SPCC advances these important technologies,” commented Joel.
The technical committee is accepting abstracts for papers and presentations until January 11, 2015. Global semiconductor manufacturers, suppliers, researchers and students are invited to submit abstracts in all aspects of advanced cleaning and surface preparation.
